Weaknesses for Packers to address: Punt returner

The kicking game is not the only weakness with the special teams unit, as they’ve struggled mightily at punt returner as well (you could probably put every special teams unit in this category minus the punt team).

Amari Rodgers, a 2021 third-round pick, was handed the return duties way back in training camp and has continued to hold that role despite less than desirable results. He’s struggled to even field punts, often letting them bounce on the turf costing the Packers’ precious field position. In 12 games as their punt returner, he’s only fielded 16 punts for an average return of 6.6 yards.

Randall Cobb once again stepped in for Rodgers on Sunday and even he fumbled a fair-catch attempt. I’m not sure who else the Packers have on their roster who can improve this position, but it’s clear they must fix this issue sooner than later.
