Will the Green Bay Packers establish and stick to the run?

The Green Bay Packers run game hasn’t been dominant by any means this season with all of the movement along the offensive line, but they’ve been effective enough. However, even so, there have been numerous occasions where the offense tends to stray away from the run game for whatever reason.

Now, having said that, it won’t be easy running the ball against this Los Angeles defensive front that has Aaron Donald in the middle and is allowing only 4.0 yards per carry this season, but it will be a must.

As I’ve already mentioned, allowing the offensive line to be the aggressor and fire off the ball is one way that can help them against a stout defensive front. But there’s also the simple fact that if Green Bay becomes one-dimensional and the likes of Donald and Co. are able to pin their ears back, it’s just not going to end well for Green Bay–we can’t expect the offensive line to hold up under those conditions against this opponent.

On the rare occasion that the Green Bay Packers have been blown out during the LaFleur era, a common theme in those losses is that they abandon the run game.

Hopefully, Aaron Jones will be back in the mix for Green Bay on Sunday, as he practiced in a limited capacity all week and is listed as questionable. Like Gary, getting Jones back for this game will be a huge boost.

"“I don’t think Donald was 100 percent and they didn’t have Von Miller,” Rodgers said of the difference from last year via SI. “Obviously, they added him to the mix and a healthy Aaron Donald is a menace to any offense he goes against. We’re going to have to have a good plan for the protection. Last year, we ran the ball pretty well. That’s always going to be a part of what we’re trying to do.”"
