Players Brewers could reunite with in free agency: Corey Knebel

The Brewers have predicated their team on their pitching strength and depth of their bullpen. It wasn’t that long ago when Corey Knebel was the heart and soul of the bullpen and someone Counsell called upon in the toughest of situations.

Knebel pitched for the Brewers from 2015-2020, earning one All-Star appearance during that time. Unfortunately, injuries took hold and sapped him of most of his effectiveness. Milwaukee traded him to the Los Angeles Dodgers last year after an ineffective 2020.

He struggled with injuries once again in 2021, but was great when he came back toward the latter part of the season. At only 30-years-old, he could be making a push for a strong second half of his career. Milwaukee may need bullpen help regardless of what happens with Josh Hader, Knebel could be a solid target.
