Packers shutout Seahawks: The good, bad and grade

Packers shutout Seahawks: The grades:

Roles were reversed on Sunday with the offense doing just enough to help the team get a victory. Rodgers was rusty after a week off as his downfield passing continues to be a sore spot in his game. The running game wasn’t able to get anything going as well, as both Dillon and Jones averaged south of 3.7 yards per carry.

Offense: C-

The good news is the defense came to play once again. They are clicking on all cylinders even without two of their best players in Za’Darius Smith and Jaire Alexander. Hopefully, the injuries to Gary and Mericlus aren’t too serious and they can be back on the field next week when the Packers take on the Minnesota Vikings.

Defense: A+

Blah. That’s about the best word to describe Green Bay’s special team’s units. They cost the Packers more points in this game, but otherwise weren’t terrible. That’s saying something about where the bar is for this unit.
