Packers’ grades at halfway point: Inside linebackers: A+

The best play from the Packers’ defense, and probably the entire team, has come from their inside linebacker position. Specifically, De’Vondre Campbell. Campbell is well on his way to an All-Pro selection; he flies all over the field no matter the situation and constantly makes plays. His 85.1 PFF grade ranks first out of 86 eligible inside backers. Krys Barnes and even Oren Burks have also had their moments.

Packers’ grades at halfway point: Outside linebackers: B+

Despite not having Za’Darius Smith since Week 1 (and he was even limited then), Preston Smith and Rashan Gary have come to play this season. P. Smith has been a very balanced outside linebacker for the Packers and is very solid against the run. Gary has been disruptive as a pass-rusher and is coming into his own as one of the better edge rushers in the game. Whitney Mercilus and Jonathan Garvin have also been solid in spot duty.
