Packers’ grades at halfway point: Wide receiver: B

Davante Adams has been a stud and carries a lot of weight for this unit. He’s been unstoppable this season and continues to cement himself as the singular best wide receiver in the entire NFL. Through eight games, he has 58 receptions for 786 yards and three touchdowns.

It’s been everyone else at the position that has been a disappointment. Allen Lazard missed a game and Marquez Valdes-Scantling has missed time as well. Neither of them has met the expectations they set last year and need to get it going.

Randall Cobb has been a nice bright spot, but is best suited as WR3 at best and not the WR2 role he’s been forced into with Lazard and Valdes-Scantling sleepwalking through the season. Third-round draft pick Amari Rodgers has also been invisible through the first half of his rookie campaign. They need someone besides Adams to step up.
