Grading Packers 2021 draft class: Eric Stokes (1st round)

To be honest, Eric Stokes was one of the hardest players to grade in this Packers’ draft class. He’s been thrust into the spotlight with the injuries to Kevin King and Jaire Alexander and it’s been an inconsistent performance.

Stokes definitely flashes the physical tools–he’s long, strong and fast enough to run with just about any receiver. However, he’s had some bad rookie moments that have resulted in long touchdowns for the opponents.

However, he always gets back out there and has a quiet confidence in himself. PFF has him graded as the 87th out of 117 eligible cornerbacks which isn’t great by any means. Still, the amount of playing time he’s received and the fact he hasn’t been a complete liability is a good thing for Green Bay.
