Projected starting lineup for Wisconsin Basketball in 2021-2022

The Badgers will likely have almost an entirely new starting lineup in 2021-2022.

During the offseason, Wisconsin landed center Chris Vogt, transferring from Cincinnati. Vogt will likely be who the Badgers use as their starting big this season. Vogt’s best season at Cincinnati came in 2019-2020, where he averaged 11 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game. Vogt’s game is similar to that of former Badgers center Ethan Happ. Obviously, he isn’t Happ in terms of how great of a player he is, but he does a majority of his scoring on the low block and is a poor free-throw shooter, just as Happ was.

The starting lineup for Wisconsin this season will likely have some familiar faces, but most without a significant amount of games starting in their careers. Gard may have some wild cards as to who will be taking their spots off the bench when they need a breather.

A possible starting lineup for the Badgers this season may be:

PG: Chucky Hepburn – Freshman

SG: Brad Davison – Senior

SF: Jonathan Davis – Sophomore

PF: Tyler Wahl – Junior

C: Chris Vogt – Senior

The starting lineup will be the most experienced part of the Wisconsin team in 2021-2022. It will be interesting to see how Gard handles his rotation this season. Will he go deep into his bench or will he have a short rotation? Who knows, maybe he will surprise us all with lineups that none of us could have seen coming.
