The Milwaukee Brewers have a number of difficult offseason decisions to make following an underwhelming offensive postseason performance. Why, then, is it unlikely they retain their two best offensive free agents?

Milwaukee was a surprise team in 2021 led by an elite trio of starting pitchers and a bullpen that had some of the best backend pitchers in the NL. Unfortunately, everything fell apart at the right time when they were missing both Devin Williams and Brett Anderson for the NLDS and their offense pulled a disappearing act at the worst time.
