Packers’ bold predictions for second half of season: Rashan Gary ends with double-digit sacks

Rashan Gary has been an analytics darling through the first half of the season. He’s constantly wreaking havoc on opposing quarterbacks but doesn’t quite have the traditional sack stats to back up his production.

His 24 hurries ranks 10th in the NFL and is just five behind the league-leader Shaquil Barrett according to PFF. Furthermore, his total of sacks, hits (nine) and hurries ranks eighth, just one behind Aaron Donald. However, he only has four sacks which is tied for 31st. That doesn’t quite add up.

The good news is this is unlikely to continue. Gary continues to get better each and every week and has found his go-to move with the bull rush. It will result in better production over the second half as he’ll cruise his way to double-digit sacks.
