Packers’ biggest headaches: Lack of second receiving threat

Davante Adams is a stud. We all know that. But after him, the Packers’ receiving threats are basically non-existent.

Adams leads the team with 73 targets for 52 receptions for 744 yards in seven games. Second on the team is running back Aaron Jones with 39 for 33 receptions and 237 yards (eight games). If we’re talking wide receivers, that honor goes to Randall Cobb with 23 targets for 17 receptions and 194 yards (eight games). Tight end Robert Tonyan is also worth mentioning (although he’s done for the season), as he had 29 targets for 18 catches and 204 yards (in eight games as well).

The bottom line is the Packers don’t have a consistent receiving threat outside of Adams. That hasn’t hurt them yet, but it could when they begin to face better defenses in the playoffs.
