Packers, Aaron Rodgers, and COVID-19: NFL running an investigation

A lingering and, perhaps, more long-term question mark is whether the NFL will fine and/or suspend Rodgers and/or the Packers for this goof.

The NFL has already announced they are running an investigation into the situation. It’s also been reported the NFL has asked the Packers to turn over their security cameras from their facility to see if they have been following protocols. LaFleur shared they’ve followed protocols inside their building, but seeing Rodgers on the sidelines, unmasked, during preseason games and unmasked during press conferences might suggest otherwise.

However, the NFL has to be extremely careful in this situation. They haven’t been policing their policies as closely as they should be, as there have been other high-profile, unvaccinated quarterbacks seemingly breaking the same rules. Would they crack down on Rodgers and the Packers without being able to go back and crack down on others? Only time will tell.
