Although it was reported the Green Bay Packers were heavily exploring trades going into Tuesday’s deadline, the team failed to come to an agreement on a deal. Although a lack of deal could be for a number of reasons, it’s still disappointing after all the hype heading into Tuesday.

Green Bay did end up making a bunch of other roster moves including releasing Jaylon Smith and Hunter Bradley, but none of them moved the needle like fans expected. In the aftermath of yet another quiet trade deadline, here are six players the Packers could regret not trading for this season.

The Green Bay Packers failed to make any trades at this year’s trade deadline, but will especially regret not acquiring any of these six players.

Players Packers will regret not trading for: Hayden Hurst

The Packers have a big hole to fill at tight end following the season-ending injury to Robert Tonyan and it appears they are prepared to fill it with internal options. I’m not sure how much more they can ask from Marcedes Lewis which means guys like Dominique Dafney and Josiah Deguara are going to have to step up. Deguara was a third-round pick just a year ago, but hasn’t shown much to this point in his career.

Hurst is in the final year of his rookie contract and would’ve given Green Bay their best healthy receiving option at the position. He had the best year of his career in 2020 before getting buried on the depth chart by Kyle Pitts.
