Packers’ biggest needs at trade deadline: Cornerback

Although some relief could be coming soon at cornerback with the return of Kevin King, and later in the season if/when Jaire Alexander returns, Green Bay should still target a cornerback at the deadline.

King has struggled with injuries his entire career and it’s likely he’ll get hurt and miss time again later in the season. Even when he’s out there, the injuries have seemingly prevented him from reaching his full potential, as he’s incredibly inconsistent.

Rasul Douglas and Erik Stokes have been asked to do a lot of the heavy lifting and they’ve held their own so far. However, it’s probably only a matter of time until Douglas gets exposed and Stokes’ rookie mistakes he’s been prone to catch up to the Packers. Adding a proven veteran will go a long way when the Packers match up with a powerful passing attack in the postseason.
