Packers 2021 NFL trade deadline primer: Everything trades!
Packers 2021 NFL trade deadline primer: Dream Targets
Brandin Cooks, Wide Receiver, Houston Texans
Allen Robinson, Wide Receiver, Chicago Bears
The Packers could definitely use a little extra oomph at the wide receiver position. Davante Adams continues to dominate, but they could help both him and Aaron Rodgers out by acquiring another difference-maker.
It sounds like Cooks is off the table barring a deal that completely blows the Houston Texans away. Cooks has done nothing but produce despite getting traded multiple times. As for Robinson, well, he’d be a great fit in Green Bay, but he chose money over winning a few years back and it continues to haunt him.
Grady Jarret, Defensive Lineman, Atlanta Falcons
Xavien Howard, Cornerback, Miami Dolphins
Sports Illustrated pitched a Grady Jarrett to the Packers deal which is why I included him in this spot. In the trade, the Packers gave up a second, fourth, and conditional fifth-round pick to acquire the big man. He’d be a great asset in the middle of the defense alongside Kenny Clark.
Xavien Howard continues to be rumored to get dealt at the trade deadline, but a serious candidate has yet to emerge from him. He’d form a great one-two punch with Alexander, but he’s probably too far out of the Packers’ price range.
