Scariest Packers at halfway mark: Rashan Gary

Rashan Gary’s career arrow is pointing straight up, as the former first-round pick continues to get better and better.

With Za’Darius Smith missing basically the entire season so far, the Packers needed Gary to step up and that’s exactly what he’s done. His 79.2 PFF grade is the third-highest on the defense and ranked 17th out of 110 eligible edge players. It’s also the highest grade of his career

The sacks haven’t quite come for Gary (he only has four), but it’s safe to say he’s been after the quarterback a bunch. He already has nine quarterback hits and 24 hurries after having six and 31 last season. Gary’s been a man on a mission and his effort jumps off the screen at you.
