Packers: Comprehensive list of trade candidates at 2021 NFL trade deadline
Perhaps, the Green Bay Packers mini-bye couldn’t have come at a better time. With a week and a half before their next game, general manager Brian Gutekunst will have plenty of time to explore the trade market ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.
The 2021 NFL Trade Deadline is set for Tuesday, November 2nd at 3 pm Central time. That gives the Packers a few days to lick their wounds from Thursday night’s victory over the Arizona Cardinals and re-assess their current situation.
Missing a plethora of players heading into the game, the Packers lost starting tight end Robert Tonyan and third-string running back Kylin Hill for the season. That leaves a couple of additional holes on the roster.
In most years, we would only dream about Green Bay making a trade around the deadline. However, this isn’t most years. The Packers have already shown a willingness to sign veterans in the middle of the season who were cut by their previous team. Could they continue to buck their trend and dip their toes into the trade market?
I’ve identified six positions the Packers are most likely to target if they do strike a deal and scoured the interweb for rumors of who could potentially be dealt. I’m not saying Green Bay will make an offer for all of these players, as some of them clearly wouldn’t make sense. I’m just letting you know who is potentially out there at the key areas of need for the Packers.
