The Green Bay Packers won their sixth straight game on Sunday when they defeated the Washington Football Team 24-10. Although it wasn’t always pretty, there were solid performers on both sides of the ball and those who left a lot to be desired.

With Green Bay’s schedule about to get a lot more difficult, beginning with a Thursday Night game against the only undefeated team remaining in the NFL in the Arizona Cardinals, let’s take a moment to reflect on Sunday’s performance.

With the Green Bay Packers victory over the Washington Football Team, let’s check out the good, the bad and hand out grades.

Packers victory over Washington: The good: Red zone defense, Rashan Gary, Allen Lazard and Robert Tonyan, T.J. Slaton

The Packers’ defense had given up 15 straight touchdowns inside the red zone to begin the season. However, they came up with a number of stops–three to be exact–inside the red zone against Washington. Add in a blocked field goal to the mix (shoutout to T.J. Slaton) and it was a bend but don’t break mentality for the defense.

Rashan Gary was a big part of the defense’s success. Playing without Preston Smith nor Za’Darius Smith, Gary shouldered a heavy load at outside linebacker. Thankfully, he was up to the task and recorded seven total tackles, two sacks and four quarterback hits.

Offensively, Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams did their usual. However, Allen Lazard and Robert Tonyan stepped up to provide some extra oomph to the Packers’ passing game. Tonyan recorded four receptions for 63 yards and one touchdown after a very slow start to the season while Lazard racked up five catches for 60 yards and a touchdown of his own.
