Position Packers should target at trade deadline: Cornerback

Most importantly, the Packers should target a cornerback at the deadline. Eric Stokes is the only constant at this point and even he struggles with the typical rookie inconsistencies. There’s no saying whether Kevin King will be available for the home stretch of the season and, even if he is, we don’t know if he’ll be ready to play. That leaves Isaac Yiadom and Rasul Douglas as the other outside corners–not exactly a thought that inserts confidence.

There are a few corners reportedly available for trade–Byron Jones, Xavien Howard, Kyler Fuller, etc–that would be immediate upgrades for the Packers. We know they’re interested in adding to the position as they were rumored to be the favorite destination for Stephon Gilmore to sign with before the Carolina Panthers traded for him.
