Position Packers should target at trade deadline: Defensive Line

What Adams is to the Packers’ offense, Kenny Clark is to their defense. He’s been “locked in” this year and has straight dominated games along the line of scrimmage. Unfortunately, he hasn’t received much help from his teammates up front. Although, to be fair, guys like Kingsley Keke have come alive after a very slow start.

Still, Green Bay could benefit in a major way from acquiring a pass-rushing big upfront. Without Za’Darius Smith (and with Preston Smith now hurt), their outside linebackers haven’t been able to get the pressure they’d like. This has forced defensive coordinator Joe Barry to get creative with his blitzes. Often times it leaves the quarterback with far too much time to pick apart the secondary. If the Packers can add another big upfront who can pressure the QB from the interior it would go a long way to help the overall success of the defense.
