Evan Engram, TE, New York Giants, Hayden Hurst, TE, Atlanta Falcons

Packers’ tight end Robert Tonyan has been one of the worst players on their offense so far this season. He’s never been a blocking guru, but he’s been downright awful in that department this season. As for his calling card in the receiving game, well, he hasn’t been good there either. Through six games, he has just 11 receptions for 92 yards and one touchdown.

Evan Engram and Hayden Hurst wouldn’t necessarily help in the blocking department, but they would provide Rodgers with another receiving threat to replace the one Tonyan was supposed to be.

Engram has shown flashes of being a receiving threat going back to his rookie year when he caught career-highs 64 receptions for 722 yards and six touchdowns. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to replicate that production since. Hurst is the odd man out in Atlanta now that Kyle Pitts is in town. He’s been solid this year and has gotten better every season of his career. Both guys are free agents next year and wouldn’t add to the Packers’ future cap troubles.
