Packers still own Bears: The bad: Bears’ fans, poor starts, special teams

The Bears’ fans just can’t catch a break in this rivalry. Green Bay has straight dominated for going on three straight decades and they added insult to injury on Sunday. More specifically, Rodgers added insult to injury. Him screaming “I still own you” to the fans is either amazing or demoralizing depending on what colors you support.

Green Bay has a propensity for getting off to poor starts this year–the complete opposite of a year ago. For the third straight game, they found themselves in a 7-0 hole in the first quarter. That may be fine against the Bengals and Bears of the world, but it could present a big issue against better teams.

Lastly, special teams seemingly has a spot in this category every week with no light at the end of the tunnel. Green Bay gave up three long kickoff returns that were a missed tackle or two from going all the way. They also had a few snaps off target. At this point, it’s getting embarrassing for this unit.
