Although the Green Bay Packers are probably right where they were expected to be–at 4-1 and at the top of the NFC North–there are a number of players who have exceeded expectations through the first month of the season.

Following a sloppy start and a blowout loss to the New Orleans Saints in the season opener, the Packers have gotten back to their winning ways and are now on a four-game winning streak. They’ve battled a lot of injuries and sloppy play along the way, but these four players have contributed more than expected.

These five members of the Green Bay Packers have come up big and exceeded expectations following the first month of the 2021 NFL season.

Packers who have exceeded expectations: Davante Adams

Hang with me here. It may seem weird to put an All-Pro on this list following a coming out party in 2020, but Davante Adams has been everything Green Bay has needed and more.

Through five games, he leads the NFL in yards (579), receptions (42), and 20-plus yard receptions (10). Despite no Marquez Valdes-Scantling for the last two games, Robert Tonyan failing to live up to expectations and double and triple teams, Adams can’t be stopped.
