Most disappointing Packers: Robert Tonyan

Robert Tonyan had a breakout campaign in 2020 when he grabbed 52 receptions for 586 yards and 11 touchdowns–all career highs. Unfortunately, he’s been a dud through the first four games in 2021.

Tonyan only has eight receptions on 15 targets for 74 yards and one touchdown so far this year. With defenses giving him more attention, he hasn’t been able to replicate the catching prowess he showed off last season.

His PFF grade also reflects that, as he’s currently at 51.3 which is 54th out of 71 eligible tight ends (he had a 68.6 grade last year). His run blocking isn’t the greatest either and he leaves a lot to be desired in that area of his game. If he’s not catching the rock like last year, it’s difficult for him to contribute positively to the Packers’ offense.
