Packers: 3 most disappointing players at quarter mark
Although it hasn’t been pretty, the Green Bay Packers managed to win three of their first four games of the NFL season. They’ve battled injuries, ugliness and disappointing play from a few guys they were counting on big time.
Every season, there are players who exceed expectations and those who, unfortunately, fail to meet them. With plenty of games left to turn it around, let’s check out three Packers who have been disappointing up to this point.
These three members of the Green Bay Packers have been the most disappointing through the first four games of the season.
Most disappointing Packers: Chandon Sullivan
It’s safe to say the Packers are going through some stuff on defense. Especially in the secondary. Kevin King missed a couple of games and rookie Eric Stokes stepped up in his absence. Despite his inconsistencies, Stokes looks like a guy who can develop into a legit corner for Green Bay.
Now, Jaire Alexander is out for an undisclosed period of time and leaves huge shoes to fill. Unfortunately for Green Bay, slot corner Chandon Sullivan has been at his worst so far this season. His PFF grade of 44.5 not only continues a three-year downward trend, but also ranks 97th out of 103 eligible players.
He’s given up 14 receptions on 16 targets and only has one pass breakup. To make matters worse, he’s not been any better at tackling, as he already has four missed tackles–half of his total for all of last year. Green Bay needs something, anything, out of their corners and Sullivan has been giving them very little so far this year.
