Cornerback Packers should target with Jaire Alexander out: Darqueze Dennard, free agent

Moving to the free agent market, Darqueze Dennard is probably the best available cornerback on the market–which isn’t saying much entering Week 5 of the regular season.

Dennard was a first-round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals back in 2014 and is still just 29-years-old. He played the first six years of his career in Cincinnati before suiting up for the Atlanta Falcons in 2020. He then signed with the Arizona Cardinals before they released him at the beginning of the season.

Arizona said Dennard had a leg injury that would cause him to miss time, but if he’s healthy now Green Bay should absolutely knock on his door. He can play all over the field and give the Packers another veteran option at the position.
