Packers’ positional grades at quarter mark of 2021 season
The Green Bay Packers have finished 25 percent of the 2021 season (or close enough that it doesn’t matter) so it’s time to take a positional look and hand out grades based on their performance so far.
After dropping the season-opener in embarrassing fashion, Green Bay has recovered nicely and has won three straight games to move to the top of the NFC North. They haven’t quite clicked like they did last year, but that could be expected after they hardly played any of their main contributors in the preseason.
With their best ball (hopefully) ahead of them, let’s take a moment to reflect on what we’ve seen so far this year.
Let’s take a position by position look at the Green Bay Packers so far this season and grade their performances in each category.
Quarterbacks
Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been as crisp as he was to begin his MVP campaign last year, completing just 64.5 percent of his passes for 897 yards, eight touchdowns and two interceptions so far. He was particularly bad against the New Orleans Saints to begin the year and tried to play hero ball instead of going with the flow of the offense. He’s returned to the latter state since and his play has improved significantly. However, there are still some areas he needs to clean up moving forward.
