Packers’ rookie class bold prediction: Eric Stokes will start in the playoffs.

The Packers’ first pick of the 2021 NFL draft was cornerback Erick Stokes who projects to fill both a short-term and long-term need at the position. Stokes is somewhat of an unknown at this point to fans, considering Green Bay protected him like a starter in the preseason and elected to only play him sparingly throughout the exhibition games.

Stokes projects as an outside cornerback–the same position the incumbent Kevin King plays. King is listed as the starter heading into Week 1, but his up and down play will provide an opening for Stokes this season. Stokes will take full advantage of that by showing off his speed and natural skills that will propel him to a starting spot come playoff time.
