Green Bay Packers v. Saints: 5 Big Questions in Week 1
By Paul Bretl

Will the Green Bay Packers see the turnover-prone Jameis Winston?
Jameis Winston catches some flack because he can be careless with the ball, but he can make some plays happen as well. His most recent season as a starter came in 2019 with Tampa Bay, where he threw 33 touchdown passes and threw for over 5,100 yards–which led the NFL that season.
However, he led the NFL in another category that year as well, and that was in interceptions, throwing 30 of them–yes, 30 of them. Over his previous four seasons as a starter prior to 2019, Winston totaled 55 interceptions during that span–this also includes him missing eight games.
But Winston has now had a year in New Orleans with Sean Peyton as his head coach and the opportunity to learn from Drew Brees. To some degree, it feels like interceptions and errant throws are always going to be a part of Winston’s career, but will we see a toned-down version of that with the Saints?
I’m guessing quite a few will answer ‘no’ to that last question, but I think it’s a valid one. And ultimately, we won’t know until we see Winston under pressure or with a difficult read–which leads me nicely into my final big question.
