Trending up: Za’Darius Smith’s health, 2021 draft class, neutral schedule, Cory Bojorquez hype

Za’Darius Smith missed all of training camp with a back injury, but returned to practice on Monday. Although he didn’t compete in the team portion of practice, he did partake in individual drills on the side. His official status is questionable for Sunday’s game, and even if he plays it’s likely he won’t be at 100 percent. Still, it’s great news he’s making progress in his recovery.

The Packers’ 2021 draft class figures to make a huge impact on Green Bay’s upcoming season. Eric Stokes, Josh Myers, Amari Rodgers, Royce Newman, Tedarrell Slaton and Kylin Hill all project to have an immediate role on one of the three units. It will be fun to watch them progress throughout the season.

Due to the Packers’ game being moved to Jacksonville, they’ll have the only balanced schedule in the NFL this year–eight home games, eight road games, and one neutral site game. It sucks it has to happen in the manner it did, but it’s an interesting side note.

Green Bay parted ways with punter JK Scott and traded for Cory Bojorquez from the Los Angeles Rams. Although he hasn’t yet punted in a game, there’s significant hope Bojorquez will help solve Green Bay’s punting woes.
