Week 5: Green Bay Packers at Cincinnati

This Bengals squad is headed in the right direction with several young and talented players, but like the Steelers, their offensive line is in question. Ultimately the Packers are the better team and have more experience, which will prove to be a big factor.

Packers win: 4-1

Week 6: at Chicago

Will Justin Fields be starting at this point? Either way, the outcome will remain the same. Chicago has some real question marks at cornerback and along the offensive line–two areas that the Packers will be able to exploit. And while there is a lot to like about Fields, he’s still a rookie going up against an experienced Green Bay team.

Packers win: 5-1

Week 7: vs. Washington

This would be a good week to get David Bakhtiari back against this very stout Washington defensive front. With Bakhtiari or without, this is going to be a good test for the Packers’ offensive line. Because of Washington’s ability to get after the quarterback, I see this game being relatively close, but the Packers are superior everywhere else. Hopefully, they aren’t caught looking ahead to their Thursday night matchup with Arizona.

Packers win: 6-1

Week 8: at Arizona

It’s proven in the win-loss columns that teams on the road during Thursday night games are at a major disadvantage with the short week. However, this is an experienced Green Bay Packers team that has played in several big games over the last two seasons. While Arizona certainly has talent, and they are absolutely capable of beating the Packers, I’ll need to first see more consistency from this Kliff Kingsbury-led squad before I pick them over Green Bay.

Packers win: 7-1

Week 9: at Kansas City

The good news is that the Green Bay Packers have some extra time to rest up and prepare for this matchup with Kansas City. With that said, going up against Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes at Arrowhead Field — where the Chiefs have a tremendous home-field advantage — will be too much to overcome.

Packers lose: 7-2
