Pro: Having 3 good running backs

The Packers appear to be loaded at running back this season. Aaron Jones is..well…Aaron Jones. He’s a dynamic runner and receiver who can turn the game in an instant. AJ Dillon is a bruiser behind him who should have a great year as a change of pace back. And then there’s rookie Kylin Hill. Hill looked dynamic in the passing game in the preseason and might force his way onto the field in some sub packages. This trio will be fun to watch.

Con: Having to keep a fifth outside linebacker

The Packers went with Za’Darius Smith, Preston Smith, Rashan Gary, Jonathan Garvin and Chauncey Rivers at outside linebacker. Although I have nothing against Rivers, I fear what it means about Z. Smith’s health. He hasn’t practiced in a while, including Wednesday, due to a back injury. If Green Bay felt the need to keep a fifth outside linebacker, I worry it means he could be out a while. I guess the good news is they didn’t place him on the PUP list. Right?
