Green Bay Packers: 2021 Fantasy Forecast
By Matt LeVene
Green Bay Packers TE: Robert Tonyan
Robert Tonyan took the league by storm in 2020 when he erupted for over 500 yards and 11 touchdowns. Tonyan’s stellar performance slotted him as tight end number 3 in fantasy football.
Aaron Rodgers’ historic season not only benefitted the receivers in the offense but also the 27-year-old Tonyan. A relatively unknown prospect until his emergence last season, Tonyan should be due for a similar workload this season. The only question is if he can catch a similar amount of touchdowns with the added threats of Randall Cobb and Amari Rodgers.
Tonyan projects to be an above-average tight end and a weekly starter in all formats. He is probably in the third group of guys, behind the likes of Travis Kelce, Darren Waller, George Kittle, Mark Andrews, and Kyle Pitts.
With many tight ends being very hit or miss on a weekly basis, having one of Aaron Rodger’s favorite targets provides fantasy managers a consistent option at the position
The Packers’ offense will more than likely be a juggernaut again this season, and fantasy managers will be more than satisfied with the play of their stars from Titletown. It will be a fun season in the 920.
Let me know in the comments who you think could be the biggest “sleeper” on the Green Bay Packers this year.
