The Grade:

Despite only scoring 14 points, the offense looked impressive considering the players they had on the field. Hill and Dillon stood out in the running game, Taylor had some nice catches, the offensive line played better and Benkert showed off a strong arm. It was positive movement from last week with a lot more growth remaining.

Offense: B-

The defense barely had any of their starters out there and was going up against the Jet’s number one offense for a long time. They did the best they could and held their own fairly well. The young guys got a lot of playing time and showed they could make some positive contributions this season. That’s a huge development.

Defense: B-

This was once again the achilies heel of the Packers. Mason Crosby made his two extra points, Dexter Williams returned a kick for 32 yards and Reggie Begelton had a punt return go for 28. Otherwise, it was mostly a disaster. Scott’s awful punt happens far too often for a professional and the kick return they allowed was inexcusable. A lot of work to do here.

Special Teams: D

Overall, the Packers saw improvements from some of their young players which is great to see in the preseason. They also didn’t suffer any major injuries which is a key takeaway from this meaningless game.

Final Grade: C+
