The Green Bay Packers are hoping for some bigger contributions from a number of players next season. Hopefully, those come from these five players fans have doubted for a while now.

As I was making the list, all five players unintentionally ended up on the defensive side of the ball. That probably shouldn’t be too big of a surprise, however, as the offense finished at or near the top in a number of categories including points for, turnovers, and scoring percentage.

Meanwhile, the defense was middle of the pack at best (no pun intended) and didn’t live up to their standards. They appear to have much more talent than their results indicate, prompting the switch in defensive coordinators this offseason. Without further ado, here are five players fans hope will prove them wrong in the 2021 season.

5. Dean Lowry

Fans don’t really have a strong feeling one way or another about Dean Lowry. Lowry had a good start to his career, but has disappointed the last couple of seasons. His backstep in production has been a big reason why the Packers’ defense continues to get carved up in the running game. The good news is he’s had a good start to training camp and appears ready to get back to his productive self. If so, that would be a huge boost for this Packers’ defense.
