Quarterbacks (2): Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love

Packers’ head coach Matt LaFleur has already said Aaron Rodgers won’t play this preseason. That’s the smart move considering where he’s at in his career. Also, he didn’t play any preseason action last year and lit the league on fire on his way to earning the MVP award.

Although the stats weren’t great, Jordan Love established a nice baseline against the Texans. He looked comfortable in the pocket and made some nice throws and decisions. He did get banged up which might lead Green Bay to sign another quarterback until he’s ready to go. Unless the injury is much more serious than what the public has been told, the Packers will likely keep only two quarterbacks on their initial roster and move Kurt Benkert to the practice squad.
