2. Cornerback 2 competition

This may be the most anticipated Packers’ competition moving forward. Green Bay used their first-round pick on corner Eric Stokes who has had an up and down camp so far. He’s struggled covering Davante Adams (who hasn’t?) and had a slow start to practices. However, he’s also flashed the elite athletic traits that make him an attractive option to become an above-average long-term cornerback in the NFL.

His primary competition is Kevin King. King re-signed with the Pack on a one-year deal after getting absolutely torched against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship game. He has spent most of his career injured, and began training camp this year on the injured list as well. He just returned to practice and it remains unclear if he’ll suit up for this preseason game.

Regardless, Stokes will have an opportunity to either take control of the starting job or hand it back to King. Stokes will likely get a lot of run in this first game so keep your eye on how he fares.
