2. De’Jon Harris, Inside Linebacker

It would be unfair (but wise) to continue listing wide receivers here so we’ll move to the other side of the ball with these next two predictions, starting at inside linebacker.

Green Bay usually only played one inside linebacker at a time last season, and that likely won’t change too much under new defensive coordinator Joe Barry. The league is moving toward more athletic players who can cover and help in the passing game instead of solely contributing to stopping the run.

The Packers already have three players vying for the starting job in Krys Barnes, Kamal Martin, and De’Vondre Campbell. Then you add in special teamer Ty Summers and sixth-round pick Isaiah McDuffie and it will be hard for any other player to crack the final roster. With Green Bay only needing one and maybe two linebackers at a time, there won’t be any need for De’Jon Harris for the final part of preseason.
