The Milwaukee Brewers are one of a bunch of teams who are looking to make a move before MLB’s trade deadline on July 30. Such is the life of a bunched-up race near the top of the National League and throughout the MLB in general.

The Brewers are coming off a weekend series in which they impressively took two out of three games against the Chicago White Sox. That puts them at 58-32–first place in the NL Central by a wide margin (6.5 games), but only the third-best record in the NL.

Milwaukee could upgrade a few different positions including first base, their bullpen and adding another starter. If they take an all-in approach, which they should, look for Milwaukee to complete a trade with one of these four teams (each of whom has multiple players on the block) before Friday’s trade deadline passes.

If the Milwaukee Brewers complete a trade at this year’s MLB trade deadline, they are most likely to do with one of these four teams.

4. Chicago Cubs

It would be extremely difficult for these two teams to complete a trade considering the rivalry they have atop the NL Central. However, the truth is the Chicago Cubs have a plethora of players on the trade block that Milwaukee could be interested in.

Kris Bryant, Javier Baez, Craig Kimbrel, Zach Davies and Anthony Rizzo are just a few of the Cubs who are likely to be dealt this season, as Chicago enters a full-on rebuild. That’s a lot of talent up for grabs and Milwaukee would be unwise to ignore such a massive trade partner. If the price is right, look for David Stearns to get in on the firesale that could happen.
