1. Bucks pick one of the following with 31st overall selection in NBA Draft: Nah’Shon Hyland, Quentin Grimes, Kessler Edwards, David Johnson, Tre Mann

As of now, the Bucks hold the 31st overall selection (the first pick in the second round) in the 2021 NBA Draft that’s set to take place on July 29. This comes as a result of them sending their first-round selection to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Tucker.

Milwaukee will likely keep the pick and search for a contributor on a cheap rookie deal. Without a doubt, they’ll be looking for someone who can shoot the lights out (one trait their two second-round picks in 2020 had in common). Beyond that, however, they’ll be searching for someone who can hold their own on the defensive end. This player won’t have to be elite on defense, but at least someone who won’t be exploited time and time again.

The Bucks should be able to find a guy who fits those categories at 31 because they won’t be looking for someone who can create their own shot–something that other teams are likely to target. Milwaukee already has enough shot creation between Holiday, Middleton and Antetokounmpo, and just needs someone to space the floor for those guys. Expect their draft pick to come from the list above or, at the very least, check the boxes of being a good three-point shooter and adequate defender.
