The MLB trade deadline is fast approaching on July 30th and it’s yet to be seen how the Milwaukee Brewers will approach it.

On one hand, they have a 6.5 game lead in the National League Central Division heading into this weekend’s games. That’s the biggest divisional lead in the NL and it doesn’t look like the teams behind them have enough horsepower to make a run.

On the other, the Brewers should want much more than a simple divisional title and playoff appearance. You play to win the game and they have an opportunity to win the biggest series of them all. They should absolutely move all their chips to the middle of the table and go for the World Series. These three reasons will lay out why.

The Milwaukee Brewers, who have a rare chance to legitimately push for a World Series appearance this year, should go all in at the MLB trade deadline.

3. Wide-open race

At 56-41, the Brewers have the fourth-best record in the NL behind the San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, and San Francisco Giants (all in the NL West). However, none of the teams ahead of them are dominant nor locks for the World Series. That means Milwaukee has a good chance as things are now. If they go all in and add another major piece or two, they will have every opportunity to win the NL pennant. The time is now to go all in.
