Milwaukee Brewers: 4 dream trade targets ahead of 2021 trade deadline

2. Starling Marte, outfielder, Miami Marlins

If Milwaukee makes another trade, outfield is a likely position they’ll target. Starling Marte would likely be a true rental, as he’s looking for a huge deal this offseason worth north of $12.5 million per year–very likely putting him out of the Brewers’ range. However, the boost he’d provide would be worth it.

Marte would contribute both defensively and offensively for whichever team he’s on. He’s been playing center field for Miami, but can play any of the outfield spots if needed. He’s also a good table-setter at the top of the lineup, something Milwaukee could definitely use more of. He’s hitting .283 this year with a .389 on-base percentage to go along with 17 stolen bases.
