After a bumpy 2019 season at right guard for the Green Bay Packers, Billy Turner was quite solid at right tackle — as well as right guard — during the 2020 season and would go on to play left tackle as well on several occasions in Bakhtiari’s absence.

Turner appeared in six games as the team’s left tackle last season, including throughout the playoffs, totaling 363 snaps, according to PFF ($$). He would allow three sacks and 12 pressures during that span, with two of those sacks and four of those pressures coming in the NFC Championship Game, where admittedly, he struggled against that Tampa Bay pass rush.

Turner is going to be better suited as a right tackle more so than a left, but of the three candidates to replace Bakhtiari, he has the most experience there and is someone that the Green Bay Packers can lean on if they’re in a pinch. While most will remember Turner’s struggles during the NFC Championship Game, for the most part, when at left tackle last season, he had shown that he can be a capable starter with the size and athleticism that he possesses.
