Tier 2 – Richard Rodgers and Jeff Janis

Welcome to the Hail Mary tier. There are two guys here that share one thing in common, they both caught one from Aaron Rodgers.

As a third-round pick, Richard Rodgers probably underachieved for his career goals. He had a pretty big second season in 2015, catching 58 passes for 510 yards and eight touchdowns. Other than that, he was never over 300 yards. He’s still in the league with the Eagles but hasn’t done much in the last three years. Still, the Miracle in Motown will go down in Green Bay Packers history as one of the great last-second plays ever.

As amazing as the Motown Miracle was, Jeff Janis’ catch in the playoffs against the Cardinals was even better. In complete desperation mode in a playoff game, Janis jumped over one of the best corners in the league in Patrick Peterson to keep the season alive. It’s unfortunate that the moment is largely forgotten because of how the game ended. Janis was never a big impact player or even a regular starter, but when the team needed him most, he delivered.
