Packers who need to step up 1: Dean Lowry

The Packers are desperately searching for another defensive lineman–any defensive lineman(!)–to step up alongside the great Kenny Clark. Kinglsey Keke flashed that potential a year ago, but the veteran Dean Lowry will continue to have a lot of opportunities on the football field.

Lowry is fortunate to return to Green Bay considering the eggs he’s laid the last couple of seasons. The Packers have gotten killed at the line of scrimmage in recent seasons and Lowry’s lack of production is a big reason why. He clearly went downhill and the Packers need him to climb back up. At his best, he’s a run-stopping menace with a sprinkle of pass-rush ability. Green Bay needs that guy to return if they want to get back to the Super Bowl.
