Packers who need to step up 4: Will Redmond

Green Bay loves to use a fifth (and sixth) defensive back whether that be a third corner or safety. However, they’ve struggled to find that guy who has earned consistent playing time.

Behind the dynamic duo of Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage has been Will Redmond. Redmond earned that third safety job last season and is the leading candidate ahead of Henry Black and Vernon Scott to be the third safety once again.  Redmond was okay in coverage but struggled mightily in the tackling and run defense department. If Green Bay’s defense wants to stop being the Achilles heel they’ve been for a decade now, guys like Redmond will have to step up in their sub-package roles.
