Green Bay Packers Last 10 Drafts Ranked: No. 3 Class of 2013
By Kenny Jilek
Tier 3 – Jonathan Franklin and Kevin Dorsey
The Green Bay Packers traded up in the draft to grab Jonathan Franklin. In his rookie year, he showed some promise in limited action, rushing for 107 yards on 19 carries, good for 5.6 yards per carry. He was injured in late November that year and was placed on the IR, and didn’t make the team in 2014. It’s surprising that no one else gave him a shot, but his two fumbles in those limited touches may have had something to do with it.
Finally, we have Kevin Dorsey, who spent the entirety of 2013 on the practice squad, but got his chance in 2014 when they activated him off said, practice squad. He played in just 3 games, playing 12 total snaps and making one catch for four yards before getting injured. The Patriots signed him briefly in the offseason, but he was only on their roster for two months before being dropped.
