Reason #1 why Bucks can win NBA Finals: Elite playoff defense

When it comes down to it, the Bucks have the best defense in this series and they’ve relied on it to get them this far in the playoffs. They’ll once again lean on this unit to take them to the promised land.

Milwaukee’s matchups look good on paper. Jrue Holiday will be able to give Paul fits and the Bucks will likely throw Tucker at Devin Booker to make him work. Don’t get me wrong, Paul and Booker will get theirs, but they’ll have to work extremely hard to do so. Throw in Lopez defending the paint and Milwaukee should be able to make life difficult for Phoenix.

They have their weaknesses, to be sure, but they work together as a collective unit and hold each other accountable at this end. Their leaders are defensive-oriented and demand the best from their teammates one very possession. Shooting comes and go. Defenses are forever.
