Packers who could receive contract extension 2: Marquez Valdes-Scantling

The last two guys on this list are the two most likely candidates to receive a contract extension before the start of training camp.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling took some really nice steps forward in 2020. Although he continues to struggle catching the ball (an 11.1% drop rate last year), he always finds a way to get open. Whether it be running past defensive backs, crossing across the middle of the field, or otherwise this dude’s always open. And there’s something to be said about that.

Valdes-Scantling, like every other receiver on the Packers’ roster not named Amari Rodgers, will be a free agent in 2022. Green Bay could lock up their second-best receiver a bit early and save themselves some money before he inevitably breaks out in 2021.
