Packers who could receive contract extension 3: Jaire Alexander

Jaire Alexander has quickly accelerated to elite status and is on the shortlist of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. All that and he’s just entering his fourth professional season.

Despite his less than ideal size, Alexander can cover any and everyone. He stays in their jersey and makes everything extremely difficult. The next step is for him to become a ballhawk and create more game-changing turnovers for his team.

The Packers will almost assuredly pick up his fifth-year option, but they should look to come to terms on a contract extension as well. Alexander is only 24-years-old and has many years of elite football ahead of him. Keeping him around won’t be cheap, but the Packers cannot let this dude go.
